Since 1999, the San Francisco Comedy College (SFCC) has proved itself to be the best group and one-on-one stand up comedy training in the San Francisco Bay Area* and since 2006 the most attended** stand up school in the country. The SFCC has two on-site clubs and offers more stage time for new talent then any comedy club nationwide. * Based upon total students, facility size, performance opportunities, gross receipts, and 03 - 08 Rooster Ts, Tommy Ts and San Jose Improv new talent and "Battle of the Bay' comedy competition wins (1200 comedians in 12 contests over 6 years - SFCC students (Students are defined as those that studied with the SFCC for one year or more) accomplished 10 first place and 3 second place finishes) directly vs. non affiliated independent comedians and students of all other bay area stand up comedy coaches, comedy teachers and monologue schools combined.

Claims by other instructors and coaches in the Bay Area as to equal or better student accomplishment are pre SFCC establishment in 99, never substantiated in fact nor verified by many of the comedians for which the trainers take credit. In stark contrast to some in the Bay Area comedy instruction business, the SFCC does not claim those that work with us one session or sit in our office for an hour as we write jokes for them as students nor do we inaccurately equate stand up training with TV and movie ACTING credits that are rightly attributed to ACTING teachers or solely upon the personal accomplishment of the talent.
